Tried it for school a few days, loved the new display res, nits, speakers,and the battery life; but I couldn't deal with the 13" screen. I bought a dell g7 w/ 4k oled i7_10750h/rtx2070 to replace it. Air is going back in the morning.. when the 16" Pro m1 comes out I will definitely be looking at that. 15 years of being on Windows and Linux. First time I'm actually impressed by apple and will buy.

I am a 13 year old GRpostr and I've made many videos on this computer . I've went thru 2 windows laptops in 2 years before giving up on them , they were unreliable and overheated in simple tasks . I now own a 2021 M1 MacBook Air base model and it's done more for me in the past 2 weeks than both of my windows laptops ever did for me . If u want to have a computer to count on , get the new M1 MacBook Air . 😐+💻=😃

just picked this thing up with the student discount for $899! Incredible machine! It's my first mac ever and it was hard to make the switch, but no windows based laptop in the price range even remotely touched this thing. It checked every single box for me whereas most windows options checked only a few unless I spent $1500. For the first time in my life, the mac was the cheaper option!

I wish I saw this video earlier, not when I already bought a $2000 Intel Evo ultrabook and found the battery life is not as good as my 2015 Macbook Air. To hell with Intel and their "ultrabooks".

I recently lost my early 2020 MacBook Air (we think it got stolen), and got a surface laptop 3 as a replacement, as I used it I realized I didn’t like windows in a laptop format, I decided to stick with it until the internal Wi-Fi module stopped functioning, and so I returned it. As I said, noticed I love mac os in a laptop format, and love windows in a desktop format (Gaming PC). Just ordered the M1 MacBook Pro and couldn’t be more excited to take it with me on the go.

The only thing stopping me from getting the macbook air m1 is that I think the 13inch display will be too small. If apple releases a 14 or 15 inch model I will be all over it.

M1 Mac has so many errors that people don't know. Do a diagnostic check when you get it. So many people are wasting time and money on Apple products being bland.

if apple ever started producing windows machines with these chips... (yes, i know they almost 100% won't), they'd smoke both intel and amd.. damn

Truth be told, aside - again - cooling issues (Apple could have put 3.0 GHz cap on Mac Book Air and thermal pad) , MacBook Air made it from lousy performer to viable tool.

I’m excited for carbon dioxide batteries to come to the market. 7x more battery life and super charging the laptop. It’s coming sooner than we think. We will literally have phones surviving for days on a single charge and laptops running for at least a week on a single charge

Its been 2 months know with the m1 chip air and it's amazing, I used to own the 2017 air . Which sucked so much, know I can finally play Minecraft at a normal fps lol. Great for work as well!

I'm curious about the 16" though.... but I still struggle with the larger keys on the keyboards with the newer laptops (I think 15' and up)

The reasons why I'm sticking with my custom built pc an not the m1 as a creative is that I can easily upgrade my ram, storage, processor etc. Also sticking with the Xps 15 because it can also be easily repaired as most parts are removable. Its important to be able to repair your device for longevity.

Hey! I'm trying to decide which of these Macbooks would be best for me, the Air or Pro. I use photoshop to design things like event flyers, cd covers, social media images etc. And also use a software called Movavi to edit videos. Nothing too fancy, mainly trimming, pasting and adding various video clips and audio files together to create videos that are roughly 45 mins to an hour long. Can the Air handle this easy or should I get the pro?

Our PCs aren't trash. We can run Windows, we have more ports, and we have more power. Plus, many people still can't afford a new Mac.

Sister got a macbook air m1 and all my apps I use run native on mac M1 already impressive Tried to run mc java with shaders is not compatible at all with m1 so many java errors at least with sonic ethers xD

“Same screen” is not correct. The MacBook Air M1 has an upgraded screen compared to the predecessor model.

I have one and I absolutely love it. I have used windows all of my life but had an iPad and a iPhone and an Apple Watch so I decided to take the plunge and it payed off big time! I can play Minecraft Java on max settings with little to no lag! So I would 100% recommend to anyone who can stretch their budget and especially anyone who is in the Apple ecosystem as it works extremely well with an iPhone or any other Apple product. This is a Great Leap Forward for laptops and desktops!

This chip is soooo efficient that it put all laptops 10 generation behind 😳 this M1 chip has to be from future. I don't know why other manufacturers aren't taking advantage of arm-based chip.
